Travel Tips
A licensed guide from the Batur Trekking Association is mandatory. The climb takes 2 hours up and 1.5 hours down — moderate fitness required. Bring warm layers as temperatures at the summit can drop to 10°C. Bring a headlamp, snacks, and water. Book a guide the evening before for early departures.
